Coach Michelle Martinez

I’ve been a competitive runner for more than 40 years. I started racing at 18 with the Moorpark College Cross Country team and have been running and racing ever since. I’ve raced everything from 5K to 100K, but my best performances have been on the roads: 2014 Ventura Marathon, 3:28:41, 2015 Ventura Turkey Trot, 19:24:12, and 2015 Santa to the Sea Half, 1:29:59. Ten years later, I’m still running and racing but at a bit slower pace! 

I’ve coached youth, high school, and adults in track, cross country, and road for more than 20 years. I enjoy helping individuals achieve their goals, no matter what their abilities. I have had the great pleasure of working with amazing coaches throughout my running career. I’ve taken what I’ve gained from them to enhance my coaching skills to be able to help each individual to develop their skills as a runner to achieve their individual goals.
